Carole Bibeau - Class Of 1962

It saddens me to have to tell you that Carole Bibeau, our friend, classmate, and fellow musician, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2013  at her home in Concord. Carole participated in our Alumni Band as a flautist, and was a Band Council member. We will miss her.

Carole Ann Bibeau

January 2, 1945 – December 29, 2013

 

Dearly beloved Carole died peacefully at home in Concord with her family by her side. Her love of flowers, birds, quilts, friends & family surrounded her throughout life.

Before retiring from UC Davis Alzheimer’s Disease Center as a clinical nurse specialist, Carole was the hospice coordinator at the Mt. Diablo Med Center, and earlier helped develop the Hospice of Wausau, WI as its first nursing director.

Born in St. Paul, MN to Casper & Muriel Bibeau, Carole was raised in Castro Valley, graduated from USF with a BS in Nursing, worked in SF & Seattle before moving to Wausau, WI, then returned to CA in 1987 & attained her MS in Gerontology from UCSF. She was also a floral designer.

Carole traveled throughout the world. She was active in the Walnut Creek Garden Club & the Guild of Quilters of Contra Costa Co. & was president 2011-12.

Carole is survived by her brother Joseph Bibeau (Carol) of Gallatin, TN, her sisters Janice Bibeau of Vallejo & Nancy (Brian Wright) of Turlock; six nieces & nephews, & her beloved cat Annie.

A memorial service was held Sunday, Jan. 5,  at Mt. Diablo Unitarian Church.
